- Our Story -

It all began in 1981 with one man and a dream.

-

Martino "Sam" Neve is a master tailor by trade.  While traveling across south central PA for work, he discovered Duncannon and decided it was the perfect place to open his pizzeria.  The tight-knit community and narrow streets reminded him of his hometown, and he felt that people deserved a family establishment in their own backyard.  On January 7, 1981, the dream came true.  Sorrento Pizza opened.

What started off as a pizzeria and sub shop has expanded to include a full-service restaurant with beer, wine, and liquor.  It's a family affair.  Sam is the chef and prepares every dish the same way he'd make it for himself.  His daughter Lisa is right by his side every day, keeping the traditions alive.  His wife, Joan, and other daughter, Maria, help out behind the scenes.

If you're in the mood for fast food done right - pizza, subs, strombolis, salads - we have you covered.  If you're in the mood for Southern Italian dishes - pastas, meat, and seafood prepared authentically and with the best ingredients - you don't need to go anywhere else.  Everyone will be satisfied at the end of the meal.  Don't be surprised if Sam himself comes out and asks how everything was.

Every day, twice a day, we make the dough that turns into our delicious pizzas and amazing bread. We bake our bread multiple times a day as well. Your sub roll is never more than a few hours old.  We shop the farmers' market multiple times a week for in-season vegetables and seafood.   Why? Because fresh is best, and our customers deserve nothing less.

Come as you are.  Bring your loved ones.  Stay a while.  You're family.
